A shoe rack bench.
MESA is a compact and versatile piece of furniture designed for small spaces to sit and store shoes. MESA is built in two separatable parts to allow the user to customize their space and store it compactly.
MESA was a team project with me as the lead designer and organizer.
Brief
As a class we were tasked with designing a piece of furniture for an entrance way of our choosing. Each student would then pitch their own design and in the end only a few would be chosen. MESA was one of them. I chose to design for a small or narrow entranceway and took inspiration from traditional Chinese architecture for the design.
